Discarding everything I once knew and loved about illustration in pursuit of digital landscape painting. The very first step on a long journey of self improvement, I hope.
My illustrations have definitely become very stale and predictable over time, on top of that I feel like I have made no progression in skill whatsoever. Now is the time to take up something new. I have always been envious of digital landscape painters, to me it's a very difficult subject matter with a very difficult medium. One day I hope to be as good as my inspirations. Wish me luck, I'll need it.
It has been a very long time since I posted here, two years and three months to be precise. I don't expect anyone to remember who I am and I certainly don't expect people to suddenly start taking interest in my blog again, however I thank all of you who followed me when I did post here in the past, particularly those of you who left kind comments and always had something interesting to tell me. I still remember who you are.
I noticed a number of followers have left, which is understandable, and I won't be surprised or upset if a few more disappear when they see my blog in their reading list and have forgotten that they even follow me.
A lot of things have happened between now and the time I last posted, some good, some bad, thankfully most are good and life is going alright right now. But on to the point, I will most likely be returning and posting art/illustration again from now on. I have been a long, long time with no real outlet to post my art to, and of course look at others' art too. So for now I will leave you with a couple of pieces.
